Realife Cooperative of Phalen Village is an active cooperative community for both working and retired independent 62+ adults. We differ from apartments and condominiums: we offer a cooperative form of shared home ownership. Residents become members of the cooperative by purchasing a share in the cooperative. Members collectively pay a monthly maintenance fee, and as a shareholder, take part in decision-making and running the cooperative as a whole. Without the burden of home maintenance, members can focus on creating a rich life focused on what’s important to them. Our community is a true cooperative which gives us a family-like feeling.

Our members enjoy the benefits of a vibrant community and many lifestyle features right outside their doors. Community features include a fitness center, arts and crafts room, woodshop, library, private dining room, game room and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations coming in 2022. Weekly and monthly events make socializing easy as there is something for everyone: bingo, crafts, men’s coffee, book club, discussion groups, exercise, game night, happy hour, holiday parties and educational classes. Members possess the freedom of having utilities and lawn maintenance included and access to many on-site amenities like heated garages and massage services for additional fees.

Our Facility

Realife Cooperative of Phalen Village offers independent living for 62+ individuals with many benefits. Our facility incorporates beautiful, independent living spaces with the community features, services and amenities our members enjoy. Each floor and wing has its own laundry rooms with three sets of washers and dryers, plus a laundry sink, folding surface and storage. The ground floor garages on each wing each offer warm water wash bays. Our members are protected in our controlled-access community with closed circuit television viewing of our arriving guests. Every member has ownership on our community and facility with tax-saving and financial advantages over renting or buying into other senior housing.
